Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #58

For those of you who don't know about these challenges, Karen Giron puts up a sketch challenge each week for anyone to participate. I love checking them out and this week I actually made a card using the sketch. Here is her sketch:and here is the card and matching envelope that I made:Supplies:
Stamp set: Occasional Greetings
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla
Ink: Old Olive
Accessories: Flower Fusion felt flowers, Rhinestone brads, Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon, Word Window punch and Haiku DSP

I really like how this card turned out and the matching envelope. This was very easy to make so I may end up making more cards this size (6.5" x 3.25").

Hope you like it.

Easel Card

Here is the other card we made at the class:

The lovely Di first showed me a square version of the easel card and I love it but wanted to make it to fit our standard envelopes. The tutorial for the square easel card can be found on split coast stampers. This is very easy to make with minimal stamping. Here is another one using greens:

Supplies:
Stamp set: Fifth Avenue and Vintage Labels (sale-a-bration set)
Accessories: eleyet border punch, small and large oval punches, ribbon, Designer Series Paper (DSP) of your choice to match cardstock you choose and ink to match also.

Check out the tuturial and have a go at making your own easel card.

Sweet Treat Cup Card

As I promised here is a card I made for a class I had last week. It's using the sweet treat cups available in the current mini catalogue:Supplies:
Stamp set: Something Sweet (summer mini catalogue)
Cardstock: Barely Banana, Choc Chip, Rose Red and Whisper White
Ink: Choc Chip and Rose Red
Accessories: 1 3/4", 1 1/4", round tab, small and wide oval, scallop edge punches, brads, dimensionals, sweet treat cup, paper piercing tool and mat and of course some yummy treats to put inside the cup for the recipient to enjoy.

You can see that I have put a tag with a tab behind the treats so that the person recieving the card doesn't have to tear it open to get to the goodness.

Change is in the air!

Hi Everyone,

You probably don't remember who I am. I'm the person who hasn't posted in about 9 months - ooops. You may have noticed I have been playing with my blog layout and stuff to make it look a little more inviting. I did this with the help of The cutest blog on the block website. It was a lot easier than I thought although I did need to ask my good friend Di to give me a quick hand at one point because I had confused myself. Anyway not sure if I will leave as is or do some more changing, we'll see.
You'll notice I called this post 'change is in the air'. Well I'm hoping to post a lot more on here this year. Can't promise anything but I will try my best to update my blog more often. Hopefully I will be back later today with something to show you.
Have a lovely day,

Kellie
